The Agency may establish special or reserve funds in furtherance of its authority under this chapter. Notwithstanding other provisions of District law and subject to agreements with holders of bonds and notes, the Agency shall manage its own funds, and may invest funds not required for disbursement in a manner the Agency determines prudent and in accordance with § 42-2704.13.

Law 5-50, the "Prohibition of the Investment of Public Funds in Financial Institutions and Companies Making Loans to or Doing Business with the Republic of South Africa or Namibia Act of 1983," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 5-18, which was referred to the Committee on Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on September 6, 1983, and October 4, 1983, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on November 9, 1983, it was assigned Act No. 5-76 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.

Signed by the Mayor on April 28, 1994, it was assigned Act No. 10-234 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 10-134 became effective on June 28, 1994.
