Law 17-9, the "Public Education Reform Amendment Act of 2007", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 17-1, which was referred to Committee of the Whole. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on April 3, 2007, and April 19, 2007, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on April 23, 2007, it was assigned Act No. 17-38 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 17-9 became effective on June 12, 2007.

Law 17-20, the "Fiscal Year 2008 Budget Support Act of 2007", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 17-148 which was referred to the Committee of the Whole. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on May 15, 2007, and June 5, 2007, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on June 28, 2007, it was assigned Act No. 17-63 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 17-20 became effective on September 18, 2007.

Signed by the Mayor on July 22, 2011, it was assigned Act No. 19-98 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 19-21 became effective on September 14, 2011.

Miscellaneous Notes

Short title: Section 4017 of D.C. Law 17-219 provided that subtitle I of title IV of the act may be cited as the "Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization Personnel Amendment Act of 2008".
