Law 13-163, the "Campaign Finance Disclosure and Enforcement Amendment Act of 2000," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 13-283, which was referred to the Committee on Government Operations. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on May 3, 2000, and June 6, 2000, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on June 22, 2000, it was assigned Act No. 13-362 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 13-163 became effective on October 4, 2000.

Miscellaneous Notes
Short title: Section 1060 of D.C. Law 18-111 provided that subtitle G of title I of the act may be cited as the "Campaign Finance Electronic Signature Amendment Act of 2009".
