As used in this chapter:

(1) The term "Mayor" means the Mayor of the District of Columbia or his designated agent.

(2) The term "person" means an individual, firm, partnership, joint stock company, corporation, association, incorporated society, statutory or common-law trust, estate, executor, administrator, receiver, trustee, conservator, liquidator, committee, assignee, officer, employee, principal, or agent.

Legislative History of Laws

Law 2-100, the "District of Columbia Medical Care Recovery Act of 1978," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 2-98, which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on May 2, 1978, and May 16, 1978, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on June 15, 1978, it was assigned Act No. 2-208 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
