The unit owners' association shall keep books with detailed accounts in chronological order of the unit owners' association's income and expenditures. The books and the vouchers accrediting the entries shall be made available for examination by a unit owner or the unit owner's attorney, accountant, or authorized agent during reasonable hours on business days. The books shall be kept in a manner verifiable upon an audit and shall be subjected to an independent financial review at least once annually. The books shall be subject to an independent audit upon the request of unit owners of units to which at least 33 1/3% of the votes in the unit owners' association appertain or a lower percentage as may be specified in the condominium instruments.
