Law 8-197, the "District of Columbia Emergency Overnight Shelter Amendment Act of 1990," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 8-156, which was referred to the Committee on Human Services. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 12, 1990, and June 26, 1990, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 12, 1990, it was assigned Act No. 8-228 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
Law 11-192, the "Emergency Assistance Clarification Amendment Act of 1996," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 11-188, which was referred to the Committee on Human Services. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 4, 1996, and July 3, 1996, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 22, 1996, it was assigned Act No. 11-348 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 11-192 became effective on April 9, 1996.
Law 12-60, the "Fiscal Year 1998 Revised Budget Support Act of 1998," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 12-353, which was referred to the Committee of the Whole. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on September 8, 1997, and October 7, 1997, respectively.
