For the purposes of this subchapter, the term:
(1) "Youth" means an individual who is at least 13 years of age and no older than 22 years of age.
(2) "Youth Council" means the District of Columbia Youth Advisory Council established by § 2-1562.

Legislative History of Laws
Law 14-145, the " District of Columbia Youth Advisory Council Establishment Act of 2002", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 14-255, which was referred to the Committee on Government Operations. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on March 5, 2002, and April 9, 2002, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on May 10, 2002, it was assigned Act No. 14-323 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 14-145 became effective on June 25, 2002.
