Section 2 of D.C. Law 17-16 amended subsec. (f) to read as follows:

"(f) The Corporation and its subsidiaries shall be subject to, and comply with, section 13(d) of the Advisory Neighborhood Commissions Act of 1975, effective October 10, 1975 (D.C. Law 1-21; D.C. Official Code § 1-309. 10(d)); the Freedom of Information Act of 1976, effective March 25, 1977 (D. C. Law 1-96; D.C. Official Code § 2-531 et seq.); and the District of Columbia Public Records Management Act of 1985, effective September 5, 1985 (D.C. Law 6-19; D.C. Official Code § 2-1701 et seq.)."

Section 6(b) of D.C. Law 17-16 provides that the act shall expire after 225 days of its having taken effect.

Law 14-282, the "Tax Clarity and Recorder of Deeds Act of 2002", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 14-537, which was referred to Committee on Finance and Revenue. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on July 2, 2002, and October 1, 2002, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on January 22, 2003, it was assigned Act No. 14-616 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 14-282 became effective on April 4, 2003.
