Legislative History of Laws

Law 18-147, the "Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act of 2010", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 18-426, which was referred to the Committee on Public Safety and the Judiciary.  The bill was adopted on first and second readings on February 2, 2010, and March 2, 2010, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on March 18, 2010, it was assigned Act No. 18-330 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.   D.C. Law 18-147 became effective on May 22, 2010.
